I have always loved books, especially old journals and sketchbooks from long ago. The voice of a unique person reaches across time through writing or drawing to show us their world. The mixing of word and image strengthens the story for me. I started keeping my own journals about 6 years ago, but became frustrated because I couldn't find the perfect one. I have always been at home with making things and so I dove in and learned the craft of bookbinding using traditional materials and methods. All books are made with acid-free archival materials. They are wonderful gifts for the journal keepers in your life and that includes you. Keep one with you at all times. Write about how you see the world. Add drawings and don't worry about them being perfect! They are perfect already because you are the unique person who drew them! Show your pages to others to inspire or keep them all to yourself. Either way, you will find joy and meaning in keeping a journal or sketchbook.
